- ALL DEDUCTIONS FROM THE WORKER’S PAYCHECK WILL BE MADE AS REQUIRED BY LAW. OTHER DEDUCTIONS MAY BE TAKEN ONLY AT THE EMPLOYEE’S VOLUNTARY WRITTEN REQUEST (FOR EXAMPLE, INTERNET, CABLE, AUTHORIZED CASH ADVANCES, OR MEDICAL EXPENSES, AS APPLICABLE). THE EMPLOYER WILL USE A SINGLE WORKWEEK AS ITS STANDARD FOR COMPUTING WAGES AND WILL PAY WORKERS WEEKLY BY CHECK. THE EMPLOYER WILL REIMBURSE AN H-2B WORKER IN THE FIRST WORK WEEK FOR ALL VISA, VISA PROCESSING, BORDER CROSSING, AND OTHER RELATED FEES, INCLUDING THOSE MANDATED BY THE GOVERNMENT, INCURRED BY THE H-2B WORKER. THE EMPLOYER WILL ASSIST WORKERS IN LOCATING HOUSING AND WILL PROVIDE OR ARRANGE DAILY TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE WORKSITE. EMPLOYER MAY CHARGE THE WORKER FOR REASONABLE COSTS RELATED TO THE WORKERS REFUSAL OR NEGLIGENT FAILURE TO RETURN ANY PROPERTY FURNISHED BY THE EMPLOYER OR DUE TO SUCH WORKERS WILLFUL DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION OF SUCH PROPERTY.

Descripción del trabajo
Basarabas Excavating & Dirt Works L.L.C. (Basaraba Excavating) has a temporary seasonal need for 4 Snow Removal Workers from December 14, 2026 to March 31, 2027. The employer has operated since 2000 in North Dakota and performs outdoor excavation and water/sewer utility construction during the warmer months. During winter, construction work is limited or suspended because of frozen ground, snow, ice, and unsafe outdoor conditions. The employer has a separate winter snow removal operation for state, utility, airport, and municipal customers in Burleigh and Morton Counties, North Dakota. The need is seasonal because snow removal, sanding, salt/sand application, and snow hauling are required only during the winter snow and ice season and end when winter conditions end. The requested period reflects the winter season and the timing of this filing. The employer is requesting 4 workers because snow events are time-sensitive and multiple customers may require service at the same time, including early morning, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Current contract documents, renewals, prior winter invoices, and a full temporary need statement are included/available to support the request. The Basin Electric renewal/current contract is in final review/signature process and will be uploaded to the case when received.
