- Housing and Workers Compensation insurance will be provided at no charge to the workers. Social security / Medicaid Taxes and Federal / State taxes will be withheld from U.S. Worker’s paychecks. Voluntary withholdings will be deducted from foreign workers’ paychecks at their request. Employer will make the following deductions when applicable: FICA, loans and advances, long-distance telephone charges the reasonable repair or replacement cost of willful or negligent damage to housing, tools and equipment caused by the worker (other than normal wear and tear). Worker who quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract will be required to reimburse the employer for the full amounts of advanced and/or reimbursed transportation and subsistence.

Work description
The Winter Cattle Feeders duties are specific to caring for livestock during winter months. The worker(s) will be required to drive trucks and other equipment to distribute feed to animals on the range; may need to do equipment and tire repair to keep equipment operating. Lift and carry hay bales weighing up to 100 pounds; physically break ice with shovel and/or spud bar in order to keep water supply open for livestock; ride horse and/or 4-wheeler to move cows to various pastures feed livestock supplementary rations and mineral blocks with feeding equipment. The worker(s) will be required to operate tractor with blade to move snow in order to keep areas open for movement of workers, equipment and livestock. Operate ranch equipment and perform minor repairs and maintenance. May assist with the calving and sorting of cattle also. Workers must be willing and able to perform tasks capably and efficiently without close supervision. Worker must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Most duties are performed out-of-doors and entail exposure to extreme cold; snow, and wind; and herding hazards. Must be self sufficient in a winter blizzard situation. feeding work will have to be done despite adverse winter conditions. General supervision will be provided by the ranch owner. A minimum of 3 months’ experience is required. Drivers' License is required for hauling feed and back hauls for feed trip. Increased wages and or bonus pay may be possible depending on experience.
