Your plan options
Gold Plan
Temporary medical insurance administered by IMG that helps pay for emergencies, hospital stays and other medical bills while you are in the U.S. Through age 64, its maximum coverage limit is higher than Silver's. It also includes Virtual Urgent Care, which is not insurance: a doctor by phone, video, text or email, 24/7, in Spanish or English.
$5.61 / day
- Up to $500,000 USD in medical expenses
- Emergency medical evacuation up to $1,000,000
- Emergencies, hospitalization and telemedicine covered
- COVID-19 covered like any other illness
Silver Plan
Temporary medical insurance administered by IMG that helps pay for emergencies, hospital stays and other medical bills while you are in the U.S. It costs less than Gold, and its maximum coverage limit is lower. It also includes Virtual Urgent Care, which is not insurance: a doctor by phone, video, text or email, 24/7, in Spanish or English.
$4.16 / day
- Up to $100,000 USD in medical expenses
- Lower out-of-pocket cost out-of-network (only 10%)
- Emergency medical evacuation up to $1,000,000
- Urgent care and clinic visits with copay from $15
Virtual Urgent Care
A virtual care service, not insurance. Talk to a doctor in Spanish or English from anywhere in the U.S. Use it for common problems like flu, fever or infections. It does not pay for hospital stays or emergency room visits. Gold and Silver already include it.
$39.00 / month
- Unlimited 24/7 doctor consults
- No deductible, no copays
- By phone, video, text or email
- Covers your whole family at no extra cost
Virtual Urgent Care is not insurance. It is included in Gold and Silver, and you can also get it on its own. It is not a substitute for emergency care — for a medical emergency, call 911.

Major limitations you should know
- Routine pre-existing conditions are excluded; limited acute-onset coverage may apply under strict conditions for members under 70.
- Maternity/pregnancy/delivery/newborn care, mental/nervous disorder treatment under IMG, preventive care/routine physicals/immunizations, and many other categories are excluded.
- Workers-compensation-payable or available expenses are excluded; this plan does not fill every workers compensation gap.
- The plan is not PPACA/ACA-compliant and does not provide all required PPACA benefits.
- Direct provider payment and provider participation are not guaranteed.
- The member Declaration and age-based limits control the actual maximum.
- Silver only: there is no coverage if, when you bought the plan, a physician had told you in writing that you were not medically fit to travel.
- Coverage ends the day you return to your home country. A short visit home of up to 14 days may stay covered if you have already paid for at least 30 days in a row and you are not going home to get treatment.
- Gold and Silver cover your family members only while they are also outside their home country, for example if they travel with you to the U.S. They do not cover family who stay at home.
- If you pay for care yourself, you have 180 days from the date of service to send IMG your complete claim. If IMG asks for more information, you have 60 days to send it. If a claim is denied, you have 90 days to appeal.
