Work description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Tomato Harvesting Under direct supervision, workers perform routine harvesting activities. Workers walk down assigned field rows, pick mature tomatoes off plants by hand, and place them into picking containers or buckets. When full, workers carry containers to field trucks or designated collection areas, empty the contents, and return to their assigned row to repeat the process throughout the workday. Tomato Field Packing Under direct supervision, workers perform basic sorting and packing directly in the field rows. Workers separate tomatoes meant for seeds from market tomatoes. Workers sort market tomatoes by size, quality, and appearance, apply labels, and pack them into specified containers or boxes right in the field following basic company standards. Harvesting Fruits and Vegetables: Workers will harvest fruits and vegetables, including strawberries and bell peppers, by hand. Working one row at a time, workers will remove mature produce from the plants and place it into designated containers. When a container is full, workers will carry it to the designated wagon or truck to unload or exchange it for an empty container before returning to continue harvesting throughout the workday.
