- The following deductions that are mandatory will be made from each paycheck: All applicable Federal and State taxes that are required to be deducted from U.S. workers and/or foreign workers. Federal Income Tax Withholding will only be deducted from H-2A employee's paycheck with the consent of both the employee and the employer. In the case that an H-2A employee does not provide a Social Security Number or an IRS issued Individual Taxpayer Identification Number AND the total annual wages for the employee are over $600, the employer must deduct backup withholding of 24% from each paycheck. Work description
Duties may include: Duties may include: Safely operate semi-trucks and tractor-trailer combinations to transport previously harvested grain from storage locations to processors, grain elevators, and other designated delivery locations. Inspect trucks, trailers, loads, and safety equipment before operation and report mechanical or safety concerns. Maintain required load, destination, delivery, and vehicle records. Secure loads and ensure trucks and trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading. Operate grain-loading and unloading equipment as necessary to load trucks with previously harvested grain for transportation. Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tires, lights, and safety equipment, and cleaning trucks and trailers. Communicate with management, processors, elevators, and other personnel regarding grain transportation schedules and delivery instructions. Assist with positioning, setting up, moving, and cleaning equipment directly associated with loading and transporting grain. Maintain clean and organized truck loading and unloading areas. Work is performed after completion of harvest and is necessary to transport stored grain within required winter delivery schedules. & other related Heavy Truck Driver activities as per SOC/OES 53-3032 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.
