- The following deductions that are mandatory will be made from each paycheck: All applicable Federal and State taxes that are required to be deducted from U.S. workers and/or foreign workers. Federal Income Tax Withholding will only be deducted from H-2A employee's paycheck with the consent of both the employee and the employer. In the case that an H-2A employee does not provide a Social Security Number or an IRS issued Individual Taxpayer Identification Number AND the total annual wages for the employee are over $600, the employer must deduct backup withholding of 24% from each paycheck. Work description
Duties may include: Duties include but are not limited to the following: Grain cleaning and snow removal. Examine equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective machines for repair. Repair or replace defective parts. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components. Tune or overhaul engines. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. This job is spent primarily in the shop. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work.
