Work description
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, and repairing grain bins, augers, and dryers; Repair implements and mechanical equipment; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Monitor moisture levels using moisture sensors in the scale house; Turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or under filling and drive to market or storage facilities; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment. While a CDL is not required for the job, some workers hired under this job order may already possess or obtain one. Must speak and understand English.
