Work description

Riverview Landscapes Management LLC 8 Pineview Ave | Berlin, NJ 08009 Statement of Temporary Seasonal Need Snow Removal Technicians | November 28, 2026-April 20, 2027 Job title Snow Removal Technician Workers requested 6 Requested period November 28, 2026-April 20, 2027 Area of employment Camden, Mercer, Middlesex and Monmouth Counties, New Jersey Purpose of This Statement Riverview Landscapes Management LLC respectfully submits this statement to explain its recurring seasonal need for six Snow Removal Technicians during the period November 28, 2026 through April 20, 2027. The requested employment is tied to the predictable winter-weather cycle in the company's New Jersey service area. It begins when freezing temperatures, snow and ice ordinarily create the need for winter response work and ends after the final freeze/thaw and post-winter cleanup period. Nature of the Seasonal Work During the requested period, the workers will shovel and remove snow; de-ice walks, driveways and parking lots; perform grounds and facilities maintenance associated with winter weather; sweep sand and collect debris after snow melts; conduct fall and spring cleanups; and perform limited routine maintenance on snow-removal equipment, such as changing oil and cleaning filters. The requested workers will use hand-pushed walk-behind snow blowers, shovels and brooms. Standard Ford F-250 pickup trucks used by the workers will not have plows attached. These duties arise from the season itself. Snow and ice response cannot be performed in advance, and post-storm work continues after precipitation ends because accumulated snow, refreezing, applied sand and salt, and storm debris must be addressed before affected properties return to normal condition. Basis for Requesting Six Workers Riverview Landscapes Management LLCs request for six Snow Removal Technicians reflects the staffing needed to perform time-sensitive winter services at properties throughout Camden, Mercer, Middlesex, and Monmouth Counties. A single winter weather event can create service demands at multiple properties simultaneously, requiring workers to clear walks, driveways, and parking areas within overlapping service windows. The work is labor intensive because it involves manual shoveling, hand-pushed snow blowers, and application of de-icing materials; the pickup trucks used by these workers do not have plows attached. Staffing must account for travel between properties, the time required to clear each location, and repeat visits to address continued accumulation or refreezing. Work also continues after storms through removal of accumulated sand and debris, cleaning of affected areas, and maintenance of snow-removal equipment. After evaluating these service demands and the capacity of its existing staff, the employer determined that six additional seasonal workers are needed to maintain timely coverage throughout the requested period. This staffing complement is tied to the concentrated winter workload and associated cleanup, and the need ends when those seasonal responsibilities conclude. (Please see attachment for continuation)
